RADIO

I really can't live without radio.  A day without radio music is pretty lame.  Radio, the term that became common in the year 1920s, is based on the verb to radiate by which in Latin "radius" means " spoke of a wheel, beam of light, ray."

One of the country's best radio online or not is Y101 broadcasting from cebu.  Y101, DYIO always first.  Working or just hanging out, I listen to its upbeat music.  Disc jockeys are cool and entertaining.

Informations such as concerts, community events, organization activities, entertainment shows even current news are well transmitted for everyone to know.  It is very satisfying to listen anytime of a day, everyday or sometimes.

CHRISTMAS

First month of the fourth quarter, here I am with my thoughts this coming Christmas. Christmas celebrations as to say. Actually I don't have an exact idea of how to celebrate it but with these songs helps me have a good one.

OPM songs

          Going home with my sister one afternoon, these songs were played on the radio.  I'm struggling for the lyrics to remember.  Then came to mind the guy I can't remember his name.  This was the song I used to listen that time.  Hmmmm, so much about that,  the lyrics of the song is so good.  It meant the guy is willing to wait and who's always there for the girl.  For she is the reason for all the things in his life.  He loved her much.
          The second song was about her smile that he's attracted to.







With these songs, I remember the guy but not anymore his name, his physique.  All I remember was his good deeds and all I realize in life that's missing in me.

ILIGAN CITY’s GREEN ENERGY SOURCE OF POWER

Environment-friendly and economic beneficial as well as tourism booster is Ma.Cristina Hydro-electric Power Plant of Iligan City.  A green energy source we have here that’s a clean source that does not emit anything harmful to the environment.  It is quite advantageous in the present situation we are now since we are facing global warming.    

In the province of Lanao del Norte particularly, Iligan City, which is known as the city of majestic waterfalls, is the home of Mindanao’s primary hydroelectric power station.   Ma. Cristina Hydroelectric Power Plant is one good example of Hydropower, a Green Energy source, present in the Philippines.  It is established in Iligan City by the year 1953. 

Currently,Ma. Cristina Hydroelectric Plant helps Iligan city government boost tourism.  It is now and ever since one place of interest of tourist from local to foreigners.  The company does not only do well in the electric system of Iligan City but also advanced its technology as well as its natural environment for tourists who came to visit.  There’s now a nature park inside with a few animals and a zip line adventure located in AGUS 6 & 7 of the said plants that entertains the tourists who’s ever interested to know more about.  

Disney Songs

     Since young, watching Walt Disney's animation movies quite enjoying one!  I enjoy watching those films from cinderella to snow white and all other disney characters for in those movies/ stories, I learn many things from simple things to complicated ones.  I also enjoy watching because of the music background on each movies.  It's really good to hear from selected artists.  Their voices are so lovely to hear.

FORTITUDE

          One of the many virtues I learned experiencing adversities in life is FORTITUDE.  As defined in a spiritual benefitting book way back younger years is an emotional and mental strength.  Forbearance as it is also called is something good to have in every person in this world, especially  when following Jesus Christ ways to a better living.

        It's really hard to forget , hard to accept the many things happened along the way.  Somehow, everything I learned to be not only physically strong, but emotionally and mentally strong in times of tribulations.  To test how we endure the pain we have as well as firm in our decisions walking towards a direction.

         

MY DESTINY

" MY DESTINY " by Katharine Mcphee is among my favorite songs from her albums. She's one of the many favorite artists  I have in my list.  I like the message of the song (the lyrics), especially the part: 

You were always by my side
That you believed in me
Was enough reason why
I didn't stop
Didn't give up
Even if I sometimes lost hope
I did my best
And I am blessed in life

That according to the Wikipedia,  the lyrics are about her destiny—to be with the one she loves and how she finds it difficult to believe that everything that she had always dreamt of is actually happening to her.

            From the first time I listened to this song in YouTube, this is one song I listen to over and over in times when I feel low.  Negative thoughts then are divert into happy moments experienced in life.

I Love You Always Forever

     I Love You Always Forever by Donna Lewis is such a good music. Should I say, timeless song. This is one favorite song of mine when I was in High School. And remembering the past memories, I looked for it in Youtube. Alas! I found a beautiful video. What a great day listening to this song.

CALIFORNIA KING BED

At first hear I don't like to sing this song coz its kinda high notes it has.  But everytime a radio station plays this song over and over, it gave me a challenge to sing those notes and give its justice.  Luckily I did!  The only thing is I wasn't able to record it the time I sang Rihanna's CALIFORNIA KING BED.

What makes me feel better was finding a version from my favorite artist of these times singing California King Bed (acoustic cover).  I didn't expect to find this at this hour doing my article writing.  So what I did....right then I wrote something about the song and here it is with the video I found on YouTube while I was listening to Hannah's music.  She really makes me feel better this time.  Hope you enjoy listening to her acoustic version also which she did very well.  HERE's the video:  

CELEBRATING HOLY THURSDAY

     5th day of April to be exact is holy Thursday.  Today, getting up the words of God from the bible and some songs fit for the event makes my day.  As planned,  today I'll just stay at home and offer intercessory prayers as well as fast and abstain, trying my best not to give into temptations.

    I'm updating my blog to share some of the songs I listened during the day.  These are only five.  Hope you find it good and that stirs your hearts with the love of Christ.

JUST A KISS

     JUST A KISS by Lady Antebellum is such a nice music to listen to.  Aside from her melodious voice,  I really like the whole song from the lyrics to the instruments used...the rhythm.  Its message is expressing love with just a kiss and not letting things go complicated.  Quite romantic song.  I really love to listen over and over.

     One thing also  that I like especially in this video attached, which is the official video, are the two couple named Joy and Brady who portrayed their roles well.  Joy ...such a sweet name like mine (I was fondly called JOY by my Parents, also).  And that's quite one reason I like the video.

MARIAN SONGS

                My apology of not posting any blogs for the month of March.  I really had a hard time squeezing my schedule for writing up my journal online.  But reviewing past month of this year, I remember I used to listen to Marian songs.  I find it really so new to me, honestly speaking.  Though listening to good music is one of my favorite hobbies.

                Honestly, I miss few artists’ voices that’s why I’m searching them on YouTube.  Cris Villonco is one of them.  THE MEMORARE was the first song I’m quite eager to listen.  And so I did.  And since then I’m listening to it especially when often times my Spirit wants to convey messages I cannot put into words.  Here is the video: 

Jamie Rivera’s voice is also angelic and melodious.  First time I hear STELLA MARIS with this video  I attached,  I am quite sure it is her voice.  I really love listening to it.

Last but not the least is Carol Banawa.  Her voice is really soft and gently clean.   I find it really so beautiful to listen with the accompanying instrument, guitar ( another new instrument I’m quite interested these days).
